Diego Alatorre Guzmán

Industrial Designer by CIDI UNAM and Master of Science in Design for Interaction by TU Delft. He is currently doing his PhD in Contemporary Studies at the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coimbra University.

His research explores the role of games in education. From a participatory design perspective, he looks into the creative process of scientists, artists, teachers and committed players to learn how people critically read the world and how to creatively write new pieces of information.

Diego's work has been played, exhibited, published and awarded on multiple occasions: from conferences and festivals to specialized journals and books. His most recent game, the FUTURØSCOP!O, is a transmedia roleplay experience that drives prospective thinking across a fantastic narrative inspired by the own fears and expectations of the players.

This is his 3rd time at the PLAY festival! Diego will present us with a brief description of his latest discoveries (:
