Creative Gaming Studio: Gameboard

Stop by and get started! In the Creative Gaming Studio, you can try out digital and analog games at our open, hands-on stations. You can also let your creativity run wild with our artistic and craft activities. No prior experience is necessary, and all activities are open to visitors of all ages. You can join in at any time.

During an autumn break workshop at the JUKZ on Stintfang, students collaborated to build a game world that can be explored and experienced in virtual reality. Participants can also build houses out of cardboard and create characters to expand the GameBoard. Through photogrammetry, participants transfer their own creations from the analog to the digital world. This process reveals how ideas take shape in the digital realm and how they appear and evolve there. Participants will learn about a photogrammetry app, refine the 3D model in Blender, and place it in the game world in Unity—perhaps even bringing it to life. In the end, everyone will explore the GameBoard they created together. This collective game world will also be accessible online so that it can be explored and shared with friends after the festival ends.

GameBoard is a project by Lena & Lena GbR. Funded by the Performing Arts Fund as part of the “Culture Empowers: Alliances for Education” grant program, with funding from the Federal Ministry of Education, Family, Senior Citizens, Women, and Youth.

Please note: Mornings from Wednesday to Friday are reserved for school classes and groups. You can expect to see them more often at the festival during these times. However, the festival is still open to everyone on these days. Schools and groups must register in advance by email or book a festival visit using the booking tool.
