Workshop-Area 2

In the Creative Gaming Studio, you can try out practical methods for using digital games creatively. Program mini circuit boards, transform yourself into a computer game character using AI, or design pixel protest posters. No previous experience is required and you can just drop in!

The methods at a glance:

Generate your Avatar! | Viktoria Magnucki

With the help of generative AI tools, you are invited to design your own avatar for digital worlds. Take a selfie and creatively manipulate it with typical features such as supernatural eye color, futuristic armor, or fantasy hairstyles. The customized avatars can be printed and taken home as a personal souvenir.

Cyber Climber | 105/Viertel

Ancient skill game meets arcade. In the classic skill game "Climbing Path" you have to guide a ball with two ropes up a vertical obstacle wall. Together we will breathe new life into this dusty game by designing, programming and building the Cyber Climber, a multidimensional arcade with light effects, sounds, a digital high score and anything else we can think of. The best ideas come from tinkering, so come and help build it!

Pixel-Protest | Initiative Creative Gaming e. V.

The Pixel Protest hands-on activity invites participants to design creative protest posters in a playful way. Using Lego printing techniques and the sandbox world of Minetest, participants can create their own pixelated messages and motifs. Whether digital or analog, a colorful protest landscape is created that shows how games and creative design methods can be used to make political statements – a unique experience for anyone who wants to combine art and activism!
