Creative Gaming Studio: Character Design

In the Creative Gaming Studio, you can try practical methods for creatively using digital games. No prior experience is required and spontaneous participation is always welcome.

The Character Design Station is all about game characters! Here, creative characters are created using a variety of methods—whether as pixel art on the computer, iron-on bead figures to take home, or hand-drawn sketches for the exhibition. If you like, you can assign your character to a cluster such as “Villains,” “NPCs,” or “Mains” – or simply design it freely. In between, generators from well-known games such as Stardew Valley or My Little Pony are used to provide inspiration and show how diverse character design in games can be.

Please note: Mornings from Wednesday to Friday are reserved for school classes and groups. You can expect to see them more often at the festival during these times. However, the festival is still open to everyone on these days. Schools and groups must register in advance by email or book a festival visit using the booking tool.
