Eva Botzenhart
Spokesperson for Economic Affairs, Digitalization, and Data Protection
Eva Botzenhart has been spokesperson for economics, digitalization, and data protection in the Green Party parliamentary group in Hamburg since 2025. Born in Augsburg, she has lived in Hamburg since 1995 and joined the Green Party in 1997. Since then, she has held various positions in the Altona district association, including chair, treasurer, and deputy parliamentary group chair.
As a member of parliament, she is particularly committed to sustainable economic transformation. Her goal is to make Hamburg's economy more ecological and sustainable without losing sight of social aspects. Promoting green innovations and environmentally friendly business models are key points of her political work.
Another issue close to Eva Botzenhart's heart is the mobility transition. She is fighting for the consistent expansion of public transport in order to achieve climate targets and make Hamburg an even more livable city. At the same time, she is committed to establishing a data protection competence center that will offer low-threshold support to citizens and authorities.
As an openly lesbian woman, she is also committed to the interests of the LGBTIQ+ community. Before her political career, Eva Botzenhart had more than 20 years of experience in IT and worked as a coach for the long-term unemployed. She lives in Ottensen, has an adult son, and enjoys spending her free time riding Icelandic horses.
My favorite video game is Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
