ligeti zentrum

The 'ligeti zentrum' is an interdisciplinary centre for the transfer of knowledge, technology and ideas in Hamburg-Harburg. A team drawn from a variety of disciplines works on a wide range of projects that address issues arising at the intersection of the arts, science, technology, and health. Named after the composer György Ligeti, 'Ligeti' also stands for 'Laboratories for Innovation and Social Development through the Transfer of Ideas'.

Opened in 2023, the Ligeti Centre is a joint project of the Hamburg University of Music and Theatre, the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, the Hamburg University of Technology, and the University Medical Centre Hamburg-Eppendorf. It will receive funding until the end of 2027 as part of the federal-state initiative 'Innovative University'.
